Heat-pump models reuse heat and are the more efficient everyday choice. Vented models send moist air outside through a duct of about 10 cm and are simpler to understand if you already have an outside wall. Accessories such as glove racks and extra lines sit under drying cabinet accessories.
You need a stable floor, a power supply and, for vented models, a short, straight route outside. Do not connect the exhaust to a chimney or a mechanical ventilation system. Heat-pump models need room to reject heat, like any closed-cycle dryer.
