The NIMO Passad 60 drying cabinet uses a heat pump to dry your clothes on hangers - no drum, no friction, no creasing.

Unlike a conventional tumble dryer, the Passad 60 hangs laundry on clotheslines inside the cabinet. Warm air circulates freely around the garments and evaporates moisture. The result: your textiles stay in shape, including wool, silk and technical Gore-Tex fabrics.

Thanks to the heat pump, energy consumption is reduced by up to 65% compared to a standard condenser dryer. The system works in a closed loop - no external wall vent is needed.

Also available in black. For larger families, the Passad 120 offers double the capacity.

Why a drying cabinet instead of a tumble dryer?

A drying cabinet is not a tumble dryer. Clothes hang vertically and are dried by a flow of warm air. No friction, no shrinkage, no creasing.

The Passad 60 has a 60 x 60 cm footprint. Available in two heights: 190 cm (1900 model) and 170 cm (1700 model, ideal for lower ceilings or compact laundry rooms).

What is the NIMO Passad 60?

The NIMO Passad 60 is a heat pump drying cabinet. It dries up to 11 kg of laundry (dry weight) on hangers in a closed cabinet, without connection to a ventilation duct. According to NIMO it uses up to 65% less energy than traditional vented drying cabinets. See also all drying cabinets at XARO.

What is the difference between a drying cabinet and a tumble dryer?

In a tumble dryer the laundry spins in a drum; the friction loosens fibres and clothes wear faster. In a drying cabinet the laundry hangs still while warm, dry air dries the fabric. That way you can also dry coats, suits, uniforms, wool and sportswear without wear. With the glove hooks and the shoe rack you can also dry gloves and shoes.

Does the NIMO Passad 60 need an outside vent?

No, a ventilation duct is not needed. The heat pump dehumidifies the air in the closed cabinet. The water collects in a removable 2-litre tank or drains through a hose; the built-in pump lifts it up to about 1.2 metres. A float stops the cabinet when the tank is full. So the NIMO Passad 60 can also stand in a room without an outside vent.

How do you operate the NIMO Passad 60?

With one touch on the touch panel you choose between iron-dry and cupboard-dry. The cabinet switches off automatically once the laundry is dry. Dry air is spread evenly through dozens of holes in the back wall, and the inside temperature never exceeds 55 °C, so even delicate garments dry safely.

How much laundry fits in the NIMO Passad 60?

The cabinet dries up to 11 kg of laundry (dry weight), equal to 16 metres of clothesline. Inside are 3 pull-out hangers, 2 glove hooks and a shoe rack.

What are the dimensions of the NIMO Passad 60?

According to NIMO the Passad 60 dries 5.5 kg in about 2 hours using 1.16 kWh, and 11 kg in about 4 hours using 2.31 kWh. Connection 230 V / 10 A, power 1100 W, noise level 45 dB. The refrigerant R290 has a GWP of just 0.02.

Heat pump or vented drying cabinet: which suits you?

A heat pump drying cabinet (Passad) reuses the warm air in a closed cabinet, is the most efficient and needs no outside vent. A vented drying cabinet (Solano, Mistral) leads moist air outside, costs less to buy and dries with a heating element. This cabinet uses a heat pump.
