Find the right freestanding freezer in 3 steps

1. Choose your height

Table-top at 85 cm, or tall at 125, 145, 165 or 185 cm. The taller, the more drawers: from 4 to 7.

2. Choose your width

Most tall freezers are 60 cm wide. The 70 cm FNc models give up to 363 litres, the most space per level.

3. Check the energy use

A freezer runs day and night. Class A or B saves a lot on your electricity bill every year compared with class E.

NoFrost or SmartFrost?

Every tall freezer has NoFrost: no ice builds up, so you never defrost. The table-top models also come with SmartFrost, such as the Fc 1404. It gives 107 litres instead of 92 and stays cold longer in a power cut, but you defrost now and then.

The most efficient freezers

The FNa 6625 has energy class A and uses 99 kWh a year for 260 litres. The FNXa 522i also reaches class A, with 359 litres. For comparison: a class E freezer of the same size uses more than twice as much.

Ice cubes and handy details

The Prime and Peak models, such as the FNb 505i and FNc 727i, have EasyTwist-Ice: an ice tray you empty with a twist, no water connection needed. They also have a colour display with Touch & Swipe and are extra quiet thanks to SuperSilent. Filter on Prime or Peak.

In the garage or storeroom

Thanks to FrostProtect these freezers keep working in a room down to -15 °C, such as an unheated garage or shed. Looking for the most litres per euro? See the chest freezers. For the kitchen, see the built-in freezers or all freezers.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between NoFrost and SmartFrost?

With NoFrost no ice builds up and you never defrost. SmartFrost greatly reduces ice: you defrost now and then, and the smooth inner wall makes it quick.

How much freezer space do I need?

A table-top model with 92 to 107 litres is enough for a small stock. If you freeze a lot or have a large family, choose a tall freezer with 160 to 363 litres.

Can a freestanding freezer go in the garage?

Yes. These freezers have FrostProtect and climate class SN-T: they work at room temperatures from -15 °C to 43 °C.

Which freestanding freezer is the most efficient?

The FNa 6625, with energy class A and 99 kWh a year for 260 litres. For more space, the FNXa 522i is also class A, with 359 litres.

How long does everything stay frozen in a power cut?

In the tall freezers 15 to 28.5 hours, in the table-top models 9 to 15 hours, as long as you keep the door closed. Each product page shows the exact time.

How much can I freeze per day?

The tall freezers freeze 15 to 20 kg per 24 hours, the table-top models 7 to 8.5 kg. SuperFrost cools the freezer down further in advance, so fresh food freezes faster.

How wide is a freestanding freezer?

The table-top models are 55 or 60 cm wide, most tall freezers 60 cm. The FNc and FNa models are 70 cm wide for extra litres.
