A tall fridge in a bank of units is not the right answer for every kitchen. Sometimes you want the room to stay low and open, sometimes the design revolves around an island, and sometimes there is simply no space for one. In that case you can move both chilling and freezing under the worktop. After delivery, email your order number, name and IBAN to e-mail; the amount is in your account within 30 days. Why fridge and freezer drawers are so easy to live with
Anyone who has had an under counter fridge with a door knows the routine: crouch down, move the jars aside and hunt at the back for that one container. A drawer works the other way round. You pull it towards you and look in from above, so you see everything at once.
In the G3, each drawer has its own job. You divide the top drawer with movable dividers, for everyday shopping. The bottom drawer takes bottles, cartons and heavier items, with a rack for three 1.5 litre bottles lying down and a removable box for vegetables. The inner drawer is for small things such as cheese, cold cuts or fresh herbs.
With a freezer the difference is even bigger. Instead of stacking baskets in a deep compartment, you sort food across two large drawers and an inner drawer in the G1. Each drawer carries up to 20 kg. And because there is no door to swing open, the pair also fits where space is tight, such as in a kitchen island or along a narrow walkway. Still not sure drawers are for you? Will it fit your kitchen? Sizes and niche
The G3 and G1 share the same outside dimensions, so you plan them as two identical 80 cm units. There is only a small difference in the minimum niche height and depth. If you build them side by side into one continuous niche, use the G1 measurements and the G3 will fit automatically.
- Outside dimensions: 79.5 cm wide, 56.5 cm deep and 82 to 87 cm high, for both.
- Niche width: 80 cm per appliance, 160 cm in total.
- Niche height: at least 82 cm for the G3 and 82.5 cm for the G1.
- Niche depth: at least 56.5 cm for the G3 and 57 cm for the G1.
- Feet: only the rear feet are adjustable.
- Power: 220-240 V / 50 Hz, with a 2.4 m cable per appliance.

Ventilation: where built-in installations often go wrong
Both appliances cool with a compressor, and that compressor needs to get rid of its heat. Each appliance therefore needs 2 ventilation openings of 121 cm². The grilles are included; follow the manual when you install them, because no fridge or freezer works properly without good airflow. Place them in a room between 16 and 32 °C. You never need to defrost: both do that automatically. You set the temperature digitally, LED lighting shows you what is inside, and an alarm tells you when a drawer is not properly closed.
Your own fronts, stainless steel or matte black?
Both appliances come in three finishes. The base model is panel-ready, made for your own kitchen fronts: you fit the same fronts as the rest of the kitchen and the fridge and freezer disappear into the cabinetry. If you would rather not, choose stainless steel or matte black. These come with the panel kit already fitted, so you can install them straight away. Stainless steel works well next to an oven or range cooker in the same finish, matte black suits a clean, modern kitchen.
You do not have to choose the same finish for both. A stainless steel G3 next to a panel-ready G1 is perfectly fine, and the cashback applies to every combination.
Temperature, energy use and noise
The G3 chills between 2 and 10 °C, the G1 freezes between -18 and -24 °C. Both have 104 litres of net capacity, 180 litres gross. Together they use around 445 kWh a year: about 116 kWh for the fridge and about 329 kWh for the freezer. Both are energy class D. At 37 dB each, they are quiet enough for an open-plan kitchen or an island where you sit and eat.
