The Liebherr WPbli 5231 GrandCru Selection is a freestanding wine storage cabinet for 229 Bordeaux bottles (0.75 l), 188.4 cm high and 59.7 cm wide. One temperature zone, adjustable from +5 °C to +20 °C, keeps your wine at a constant cellar temperature so it can mature undisturbed.
Behind the insulated glass door your collection stays on display. The LightColumn on one side of the interior is dimmable and can stay on permanently, so the cabinet is a centrepiece in the evening too.
Also available with a solid door: the Liebherr WSbli 5231, with the same dimensions and layout.

Solid door or glass door?
The WSbli 5231 and the WPbli 5231 are otherwise identical: the same outer dimensions, 229 bottles and the same technology. The difference is the door and the lighting.
Solid door (WSbli 5231): keeps light out completely and uses less energy. Energy class E, 96 kWh per year. Inside, an LED ceiling light illuminates the cabinet.
Glass door (WPbli 5231): shows off your collection, with a dimmable LightColumn on one side. Energy class F, 115 kWh per year. Preferably keep the cabinet out of direct sunlight.

What does the Selection add?
The GrandCru Selection is the premium version of the Liebherr GrandCru. The cooling technology is the same; the Selection has more on board as standard.

Which size suits your collection?
The GrandCru Selection with glass door comes in two heights. Both are 59.7 cm wide and 76.3 cm deep; the 5231 is 20 cm taller and holds 33 more bottles.
A wine collection often grows faster than expected. If you are torn between two sizes, go for the larger one, so you have room to add bottles.

Placement and dimensions
The WPbli 5231 is a freestanding model. You can place it right against the wall: ventilation runs through the plinth, with the air outlet at the back.
Climate class SN-ST means the cabinet works properly in a room between +10 °C and +38 °C. A garage or storage room is fine too, as long as it does not get colder than +10 °C.

How the GrandCru Selection stores your wine
Constant temperature: fan cooling distributes the cold air evenly, so the temperature stays the same at the top and bottom of the cabinet. You set the temperature to the exact degree between +5 °C and +20 °C.
Humidity: with HumiditySelect you choose higher or lower humidity, on the display or in the app. That keeps corks from drying out.
Clean air: the FreshAir active charcoal filter in the back wall cleans the air entering the cabinet, so outside odours do not affect your wine.
Peace and quiet for the wine: the compressor is mounted to minimise vibration. The beech wood shelves are height-adjustable and each carry up to 43 kg.
Controls, alarms and app
You operate the cabinet via the touch display in the door. If the temperature is too high or too low, the cabinet gives a visual and audible alarm, and if the door is left open too long you will hear a signal. Via Wi-Fi you also see notifications and settings in the app.
