The Fhiaba BF45B is a built-in blast chiller and shock freezer for the home kitchen. It brings hot dishes down in temperature in a short time and freezes fresh food at high speed, with a range of +75 to -35 °C and programmes down to -40 °C. Flavour, texture and colour are preserved and your food stays safe. The BF45B fits a 60 × 45 cm niche and comes in black glass with a stainless steel handle.

Why a blast chiller for home?

A regular freezer takes hours to deal with a hot pan. Meanwhile, large ice crystals form and damage the structure of meat, fish and vegetables: once thawed, the food loses moisture and bite. A blast chiller takes the temperature through the critical zone in a short time. The crystals stay small and, once thawed, the food is hard to tell apart from fresh. Perfect for meal prep: cook in bulk, chill quickly and store safely in portions.

Three hot functions make the BF45B a help for baking and cooking too: proving dough, keeping dishes warm until serving and slow cooking at low temperature.

Core probe and touchscreen

The core temperature probe measures the temperature at the centre of the food. The programme only ends once the core has reached the set value, so a stew or cake is truly chilled all the way through. Everything is controlled from the 4.3-inch full touch TFT display, with clear programmes and an overview of the running cycle.

38-litre cavity with 3 racks

The cavity measures 210 × 470 × 397 mm (H×W×D), is made of polished AISI 304 stainless steel and offers 38 litres net. Three metal racks hold oven dishes, baking trays and containers. The door is hinged at the bottom and folds down like an oven door, so dishes slide in and out easily.

Flush installation next to oven and vacuum drawer

The BF45B uses the standard 60 × 45 cm niche for compact built-in appliances. Install it in a tall cabinet above or below an oven, or in a row next to other compact appliances. Pair it with the Fhiaba VD45I vacuum drawer for a complete sous vide station: vacuum seal, cook, chill quickly and store. With the fridges and wine cabinets from Fhiaba, it forms one continuous line.
