NIMO Drying Cabinet Accessory - Door Hanger
The NIMO door hanger is an original drying-cabinet accessory that lets you hang extra laundry on the inside of the door. The shelves and hangers stay free for jackets, shirts and larger pieces, while smaller items get a place of their own.
This is not a generic hook for any cupboard. It is the official NIMO part (SKU 67000947) for NIMO drying cabinets, sold by XARO as the exclusive Benelux importer.
What a door hanger does in a drying cabinet
In a drying cabinet, laundry hangs still. Warm, dry air moves around the garments instead of tumbling them in a drum. That process does not change when you fit the door hanger. You only gain hanging space on a surface that would otherwise stay empty: the inside of the door.
That helps with items you do not want swinging between shirts or coats:
- hats, scarves and thin layers
- gloves or sports accessories
- small pieces you need again quickly
- extra hangers when the racks are already full
Air also circulates behind the door. Light textiles hung there dry with the rest of the load, without you having to rebuild the layout of the cabinet.
Original NIMO accessory, not a loose hook

When it is worth adding a door hanger
Not every household needs extra door capacity. The standard layout of a NIMO drying cabinet is enough for many people. Extra hanging space on the door makes sense when you use the cabinet heavily.
Typical situations:
- a family that dries several loads a week
- sports use, with hats, gloves and thin layers next to the main wash
- a utility room or apartment where the cabinet is the only drying spot
- an existing NIMO cabinet whose racks are full most of the time
If you mainly dry gloves, hats and small accessories, also look at the glove rack. If you want more line length inside the cabinet itself, the 5 metre clothesline set is the better part. The door hanger solves a different problem: extra space on the door, without rearranging the racks.
How to use the door hanger
Hang only textiles that can move freely along the door. Thick winter coats or heavy boots belong on the racks or the floor, not on the door. Keep the door swing clear so the cabinet still closes and the airflow is not blocked.
A simple routine:
- Open the door fully before you hang anything.
- Spread small pieces so they do not cover each other.
- Close the door and check that nothing is trapped.
- Start the programme you would normally use for that load.
The door hanger does not change the energy use or the programmes of the drying cabinet. It only adds hanging points. Wipe it now and then with a damp cloth, like the rest of the interior.
